Do you know Where’s Waldo? A street artist in Munich has fun placing Waldo in different areas of the city. Here he is smack dab in the center of a door.
On Saturday, we are having a book launch for our Munich Stories 2016 at the Munich Readery starting at 1900 to 2100 (12.11.2016). This is our first book. We are excited to start this book series of illustrated stories and are planning to do an English and German version for 2017.
This project is by invitation only. We will have an open project for artists during the challenge in 2017 to create artwork based on quotes chosen by the writers to share. The artwork created will be shared on a Munich Artists Gallery page and Instagram.
I wrote about an art swap, but we have not had a large response, so we will not be doing this in 2016. If artists are interested in 2017, they can let me know. We would need 50 for me to organize it. I love doing things for you, but if there isn’t a big enough response, then I need to put it aside and focus on other things. I wrote in our calendar that in 2017 we could do a Secret Santa with Munich Artists.
Our next Munich Artists Challenge starts on November 14th. The challenge will be based on quotes (14 of them.) The quotes will be posted this week so you can prepare. We will start on November 15, 2016 with a weekly sketchbook meetup at Frauenstrasse 18. This is a sketchbook drop-in. I will be at Frauenstrasse on Tuesdays and invite you to stop by with your sketchbook or, make an appointment to sketch in our 2017 group sketchbook.
Tuesdays – 1130 to 1430 / Sketchbook drop-in / Frauenstrasse 18
Munich Artists Sketchbook Kickstarter. On November 14, 2016, we will be starting a Kickstarter for our Munich Artists Sketchbook. The Sketchbook will be for the 2017 – 365 day Sketchbook Challenge. We would love for you to help us with this. If you have any questions, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
