While the cat is away the mice will play or, while Munich Artists is away, the artists will play on Tumblingerstrasse.
To get to Tumblingerstrasse, I walked by the Klohaeusen and saw a poster that looked like something for a teen robotics festival.
I looked at the sign and then checked the Klohaeusen website which informed me that from April 12 – 15th there will be live performances starting at 1900 by the 9 Volt Duo. On April 17, 2016 at 1700 a smackdown is happening somewhere… let me know if you figure out where, I’m assuming at the Klohaeusen but I can’t promise.
I looked up 9volt’s website and this is how they describe themselves:
9V is energetic electro punk from Munich.
Created and played live with only battery-powered equipment. Computer and Midi interfaces are avoided. More than 10 years on stage, the 9V Duo offers a perfect blend of mobility & live music.
Here is an example of their music.
I will definitely take a break and walk down there to see them live on one of those days. There is an Italian restaurant across from the Klohaeusen so you can go there to eat dinner and enjoy the music, I don’t know if I will do that but you can if you don’t live nearby.
Walking under the railroad bridges, I was happy to finally see HNRX’s new pieces that went up while I was away.
Heading farther down the wall, I find several new individual pieces and a collaborative piece.
Here is Kuerls:
Here is the collaborative art piece Forest Gum. As you look around the piece, you can see the different initials. To the far right is Eazy, then an artist up on the top with the blue bird is Bomb Voyage and then the name Mr. Gum down towards the bottom of the piece.
If you want to get in through the gate below and see the other artwork hidden inside, here are the opening times:
- Wed – 1900 to 0100
- Thursday 1900 to 0100
- Friday 1900 to 0400
- Saturday 1900 to 0400
If you have an area around town with street art, please let me know. I’m willing to wander further away then my “Hood” to share images. I’m also up to sharing photographs from other artists snapping through the city. Lets share our love of Munich and the artists who work on the street.
