Yesterday Oliver Rennen stopped by and dropped of a gift.
When Oliver submitted his artwork for the 500 Artists Say Hello event, he told me that he would make a laser cut logo for my window from a vector file. I loved the idea and told him I would send him a file but, I was busy with artwork submissions and did not send a file.
Yesterday, Oliver handed me our Munich Artists logo laser cut and ready to hang in our window.
WHAT? I did not send a file!
This is what happens when you are working with Makers. They like to get things done even faster than Munich Artists which is something that Munich Artists appreciates.
Oliver made our logo out of paper and also cut a smaller version out of a wood substitute. It is amazing to see the thin lines in our logo coming out so durable in the laser cut design. The second smaller logo is currently on my desk downtown but may end up on a Munich Artists Christmas tree during the holidays.
Oliver created our logo pieces at the Makers Space which is currently holding courses in English (You must take a course to use their machines.) Here is a link to their current offerings.
If you are interested in meeting Oliver, please come to our 500 Artists Say Hello event on April 23rd. I will point Oliver out because even makers do not have signs over their heads even though they may have a few halos. (I could not resist…)
Thanks Oliver! This was a great way to start my Holiday.
