I like sharing artwork from artists in and around Munich. I’ve been very clear from the start of Munich Artists that I will share artwork from talented artists from all mediums as long as the artwork has been created in Munich and the artist wants to be a professional artist …not just tinkering on the weekends – It must be your passion.
Viola is a bit young to put into any category of artist – She is only 15. On Friday, Viola Spahr sent me the following images and asked if I would share one of them on instagram. When I saw them, I thought, “why not share all of them on the website?”
Viola has talent. She is at the stage where she is drawing faces and animals but this seems to be a phase that many kids go through and I was surprised not to see an angel or a superhero or Manga character in the mix.
Soon Viola will start exploring ideas beyond this safety zone of themes. She will take this drawing talent and create artwork that resonates with her soul. Hopefully, you will support Viola’s aspirations to be a professional artist. Someone who can draw like this at 15 should be a professional artist unless of course, she has a passion to pursue a career curing cancer or fighting the worlds injustices, then by all means be both!
The fact that Viola sent me her images and asked me to share them with you hints at her desire to be a professional artist. From the three pieces that she sent me, there is absolutely no reason why she can’t go to an art academy in Germany if she can develop the appropriate portfolio (Please do not send them photos of cats and dogs.)
