I went to the press conference when the exhibition opened and shared some photographs on our Munich Artists Facebook Page. Now the exhibition is getting ready to close and I would love for you to run over to the Haus der Kunst and see the cells before they move on to their next destination.
If you don’t know this artist, here is a link to Louise Bourgeois’s Wiki page.

If you hate going to Munich museums by yourself, I will be going with another Munich Artist tomorrow at 1000. Just email me beforehand and you can meet me at my studio at Frauenstrasse 18. The cost of the exhibition is 12 Euro. I have a yearly pass to the museum which is 50 Euro. (BUT don’t get a discount at the bookstore. The museum said I was lucky enough to get the 50 Euro pass… this is not America lady, you don’t get added incentives for visiting the museum.)
While at the Haus der Kunst, I would suggest seeing the really cool exhibition about 80s rock music from East Germany. I will share more information on this exhibition (again) on Wed. The Haus der Kunst is filled to the brim with art right now so it is a good deal to pay the 12 Euro or sink 50 Euro into a yearly pass (only if you live in Munich of course).
The Haus der Kunst also has a lovely cafe called the Golden Bar. I’ve never had coffee there but I will do that tomororw. I have bought LOTS of books at the bookstore which is why I’ve asked if I could get a discount. I think Press get a discount but that doesn’t help you or me at the moment.
If you have an exhibition you want to visit or a gallery you want to visit but you don’t want to do it alone, let me know. I make the visits short because I get overwhelmed visually which is why I own yearly passes to various museums. We can have coffee at a lovely cafe/restaurant and then maybe shoot a few street photos of people walking by as we talk about art in Munich.
My studio is at Frauenstrasse 18. Stop by and say hello. Sometimes clients are in the space so better text if you want to chat.
