If you like art jewellery, you will like This Goethe Institute article written by Susanne Lorenz.  For two years, the Friday gallery has hosted Art Jewellers in March and we plan to do so again in 2016.  What I find fascinating about this area of the art world is the cross between craftsmanship and art. The article shows artwork by Jiro Kamata, Annamaria Leiste, Barbara Decker, and Barbara Schrobenhauser.  Not all of the artists are Goldsmiths.  From what I’ve learned, many of the art jewellers are just like artists in other areas of art and must support themselves creating commission work or pieces which are more commercial.   This article talks about the work of these Munich based artists and their love of jewellery art.
